Scholarships Administered by Other Organizations

The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation - "Dollars for Scholars" Program

College students from Kansas United Methodist Churches have the opportunity for up to $3,000 in scholarships through the “Dollars for Scholars” program administered by the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF).

Kansas students selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from their local churches AND who will be attending a United Methodist-related college are eligible to apply for a matching $1,000 scholarship from the UMHEF. If the student’s United Methodist college/university is participating in the “Dollars for Scholars” program (most do), he/she may qualify for another $1,000 from the school.

Eligibility:

  • Must be an active, full member of the United Methodist Church for at least one year prior to applying.
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time degree program (graduate or undergraduate) at a United Methodist-related college or seminary in the United States.
  • Doctoral (Ph.D.) candidates are not eligible
